Unconventional or off-the-wall bends will take you the beautiful route to Zuluk. It is one of the best places to visit near Gangtok.

The picturesque hamlet of Zuluk is also a part of the historical Silk Route. It offers the stunning view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. So, without wasting much time you can set off on a drive to experience the ultimate adventure of the world!

Best time to begin the journey!

Like few places of Gangtok, Zuluk cannot be visited at any time of the year.

So, the pleasant time to visit Zuluk is during August and September. However, other months are also to be considered for you to plan your trip!

From December to January: Mostly winter, cold, and snow are experienced

From March to May: The weather remains pleasant cold.

From June to September: Experiences monsoon season, but it remains cold with beautiful surroundings

Zuluk to Gangtok: 90 kilometers

Time: 3 hours

Zuluk to Gangtok taxi fare: 3,000-4,500 approx

To travel to Zuluk the time taken is not much but to reach this place you have to pass via Changu Lake and Baba Mandir on the way.

So, if you are coming from any other place you have to cross Rangli first as it is the entry point to Sikkim. As there are no proper means of transportation, you need to avail a car rental service from Siliguri to reach this beautiful paradise of Sikkim.

On your way, you will come across several lakes, viewpoints, valleys, etc, to explore and enjoy the best of this heavenly place. Some of the views are so breathtaking that you would be left speechless for a while!

There are no hotels in this place. You can only opt for homestays which you can easily book. All the homestays are neat and it is an excellent place to stay at. They also offer homely food and provide the best hospitality to their customers.
